About a 15 minute or so race, did not involve a fast dog, but he ain't slow either. Has a decent nose, so I guess, and "follows" a rabbit okay. This is not the only time he has done it and not just pop can rabbits either. He is fun to watch.
I will run him, my FC female, or anything I have anytime or anywhere, just show up!!
Last trial I attended, Great Miami. Pack of 7, 13 inch females left on a driving race ending in a dead buck rabbit that was eaten before the judges got there. Trialers are packing heat, I have seen it with my own eyes. Guys need to get there hounds that they brag on ready and show up at an event, you may be humbled as I have been.
Lastly, as far as the original question, yes extra barking is a fault as is lack of barking by my standards and by several others. Fast dogs can be clean, but what "clean" is your normal???? That is my biggest issue with all these discussions. We all have different things to judge by unless we all show up at the same trial. I would love to see all these fast and "clean" dogs that are mentioned, again relative to what your "clean" is...
Good running to all!
