Bob,
The Army still has me stationed over in Korea. I should be home in May. When I start going through "beagle withdrawls" I log on here to get verbally abused for a while, until its not funny anymore then I go play with my worthless Shitz su and pretend he is a FC beagle.....
I own a home in northern MI, but its looking like I will be going to Ft. Eustis, VA when I come back.
We used to do exactly what you are talking about Bob, run all night and into the day with 3-4 guys. I had a little female that would start at 7 pm and run till 10 or 11 the next morning. When the guys showed up at 5 am and dropped fresh dogs should would run with them till the running petered out....
Night running is the best as long as you have proven dogs that are trash proof, and not out there running wild, barking all over the woods. If a guys dogs have never run at night it may take a couple trips for them to adapt. Unfortunately I have had a few guys travel 4-5 hour drive only to find out there dogs wouldnt leave the shadow of the camp fire. For anyone that plans to make such a trip ensure you do a couple night runs to make sure your dogs are comfortable with it.
Have fun and let us know how it turns out. I like to hear about the dogs that stay out to the end....., pedigree, running style, size, families of dogs that do the same thing
