yeah I'll probably say to myself I should of gone rabbit hunting instead.
I always break from rabbit hunting come opening season of deer (Rifle season) I've got to keep trying to get me that first deer.

I'm waiting for dove season myself. Thats the start of hunting season for me. Sept 1st. Can't wait almost around the corner. but I really dont' have a good spot to dove hunt. I have to join the rest of st. louis all huddled in busch wildlife CA. looks like a war zone.

Re: Young Pups....How do you guys go about basic training
I started mine at 4 months with a dead rabbit drag in the yard, then I got her on a couple sight chases in my in-laws yard, & then when I knew she had enough just foot speed to keep up with my old dog. I took the 2 out together, & sometimes I took my other dog too. And when I'm at my in-laws, I still get her on a sight chase if I get the chance. She's 6 1/2 months old now, & now we're just workin on solo time. We'll do the solo for a few times, & then we'll throw the big dog in a couple of times, & alternate that way. She still has alot to learn (& so do I) lol, but I would call her started
