I started mine at 4 months with a dead rabbit drag in the yard, then I got her on a couple sight chases in my in-laws yard, & then when I knew she had enough just foot speed to keep up with my old dog. I took the 2 out together, & sometimes I took my other dog too. And when I'm at my in-laws, I still get her on a sight chase if I get the chance. She's 6 1/2 months old now, & now we're just workin on solo time. We'll do the solo for a few times, & then we'll throw the big dog in a couple of times, & alternate that way. She still has alot to learn (& so do I) lol, but I would call her started

There are no starting pens around here that I know of.
