swamp rabbits

Has anyone here raised swamp rabbits for a training pen etc?

Do they get along with native cottontails or do they fight territory and want to kill one another??

Is it legal to purchase full blooded "pen raised" swamp rabbits from certain states???

I have raised swampers before with no problems. I have never had them kill cottontails for territory either. As long as you are not over crowding or overpopulating the habitat I think you should be ok. I don't think it is legal for me to sale any wildlife or transport any live wildlife across state lines. Other states may have differernt laws though.

What states are legal to sell pen raised swamp rabbits?
I see in the magazine alot of them are cross bred.

I'd prefer to raise snowshoe hare but cannot raise them in captivity in Michigan as far as i know.

Just trying to get response on these swamp rabbits.

Andy call cork he knows more about raising those pen ones he raised a bunch he might still have some. he got a bunch from down south. dont know anymore then that.
