I have the tritronics Bark Limiter XS. I bought it this summer & used it for about 2 weeks. I don't need it anymore (it worked). If you want I'll sell it for $60 plus $5 for mailing. I was going to post it for sale at work this week anyway.

Lets roll ya only the dog it is on. So if there is problems with others ya need to alternate the collar or get more then one. I have the Petsafe one got it at the pet store. $50 and i works. Has a tone as well as a shock. When the dog barks it beeps while shocking at the same time. If the dog continous barking the levels of the shock get higher and higher everytime.

The only one that will be corrected is the one that has the collar on. Other dogs barking will not cause a correction to the one that has the collar on. Dog with collar on barks=correction. Dog with collar is queit, other dog barks=no correction.

lets roll, On my no bark collar there is 3 prongs 2 that shock and the one in the middle works on vibration from the vocal cords. When the dog barks makes vibration and then the correction comes. So if other dogs are barking the one with the collar can not be shocked.

I wouldn't get the one from wal mart, I did and it worked great for a while then it got shock happy, I opened the door to the kenell and it squeaked and the collar started shocking the dog which in turn started yelping so it keep shocking and the dog kept yelping, it got ugly real fast, I tried the same collar on another dog thinking it may have been the battery but I noticed as soon as I put it on the dog she would jump up on the chain link fence and it would rattle and the collar started to shock her so I took it off, someone said something about adjusting it but I just use my regular collars now if I have a problem.

I have seen burns on dog's neck more than once from bark collars that take on a mind of their own. Constant on shock to cause second degree burns. It doesn't take long to burn either. My friend's bark collar would trigger when any dog barked. It seems the cheaper models eg from Petsmart, Walmart etc. are the ones that do this. Tritronics or the better made ones are where safe money is spent to avoid traumatizing your dogs. Carolyn
