Solo time really paying off! (w/pic)

Post by Adam M. O'Donnell »

I've been pounding this young male solo, and he is really starting to put everything together. He is 1-1/2 years old and for the most part, he's a complete gun dog. He's the hardest hunting dog I've owned, and he's a decent jump dog. Upper-Med speed, and real good line control. I started soloing him because he was too wild in the checks. Well he's tightening up nicely. Here is a photo of yesterday's hunt where he ran three back to the gun, and caught the fourth one 40 yards after he jumped it.

Here is, Shiawassee Bottom Sinner.

Nice looking hound Adam. One of my females looks like your dog. She has white feet and a white chest. I put her with a male today and they flat out smoked em!!!! Had a bit of a scare though. Jumped a coyote and it turned on them. THe male got a scratch on his ear. THe coyote made off, but not without a couple of loads of #6 in him!!!!!

Rich, You better watch those coyotes! We've had guys get their beagles eat for lunch by them things up here! Your Black and Tan female, is she Boldstroke bred, or not? Tom Rusinack was the breeder of this male I have, and he's making this cross again this winter!

She's got Boldstroke in her. I think she's out of B-stroke Snoot and Golden Musket. We're going to Missouri tomorrow on a kill hunt. Hopefully the bunnies run long and hard like they did today!!!!!
