Info on some Michigan hounds

Post by Beagle Huntsman »

I'm interested in some hounds I have heard about in Michigan. Does anyone know if the following hounds might be at stud: FC. Holdsworth's Magnum Force, Black Point Woodstock, FC. Lake Ogemaw Gunner?

Also, does anyone know the sire and dam of Gunner?

THANKS

if you want to breed to magnum I wouldn't wait to long as he is getting some age on him. Dennis Holdsworth is a real good guy to talk to. I have dog out of magnum and it is a real nice hound. If you can't make it to Denny I have his son in the lower Mi. and may be intrerested in studding him out. I have bred him one time and the pup I kept started the first time it saw a rabbit at 6 mos of age. Good luk in your search. Dave

Thanks Guys!

I'm looking for something along those lines to cross on a young bitch I have. She has some Waiska River Maximum Effort and Northway Ninja bloodlines on both sides of her pedigree. I want something with speed, but more line control than some of the "other" hare lines. Any suggestions would be welcome.

If Magnum Force is that old, I may not want to try him. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get the AKC to register pups from a sire that old, and the chance of missing would be high.

Dave, what is the bitchline on your dog?

If your looking for some of that blood, I know of 5 DIRECT males from Granppy( who is the sire to magnum and woodstock) here in NY. IF interested please let me know. All 5 are producing! yours in sport....Sean
