i was wondering does anybody know where i can get some plans for a rabbit pen/starting pen any other info would help thank you

No plans needed! Just ask about the part you do not understand and plan it like YOU want it. Here are some pointers: Use wooden posts and braces on the corners. T-posts are fine for the line. Use small barbed wire for the grade line at 48-49 inches about the ground (for 4 ft. wire). Buy or rent a good post driver for the T-posts! I turned the apron in (some do out) you need to decide in advance! Do NOT bury the apron - cut short logs to lay on top where needed (or use rocks). An electric fence at the top will keep out 99% of the climbing preditors and the niteguard lights help protect against owls. Feed in the winter, put out salt suipplements, and keep water availble - old tires cut in half make good toughs to catch rain water. Good luck!

I used high tensile steel wire at bottom-(on ground), half way up, and top which was 4' for mine. Use stainless steel hog rings to attach HEAVY GAUGED 1-1/2" double galvinized/coated mess wire. (5' wire will work great and use extra foot for apron, apron inside) Three-large 8' treated posts braced, ( treated posts for brace, 20 penny nails) on corners and turns. Two of them for all small gates and may want to use more for large gate and brace. Six foot wood posts (2) about every roll of wire and brace. (can't over brace!) All cemented. And fill in with 6' metal posts. PULL WIRE! TIGHT but not extremely tight as it will break coating and expose bare wire. (Also pull tensile wire tight) Put in posts and let set a couple days. Pull tensile wire and staple to wood posts. Pull wire and staple to wood posts. Attach mess wire to tensile wire with hog rings. Hang gates. (Get cattle gates that look like they have a thick piece of hog wire welded to them. Cut piece of your rabbit wire and attach to gate with hog rings and the go around outside with aluminum tie wire) Get you some land scape, sod staples??? 6" in boxes of 1000. Start stapling your apron to ground. Plant grass on the apron if need too. Build you about 50 saw mill oak rabbit boxes, and get you some bags of red delicious apples. Cut your apples. Rub them inside boxes and throw left overs in back of box. Kill possums, etc. Put rabbits in pen. Run dogs. My pen was built a little better than this but you'll have a good one with this!!!

You may want to put a 6' treated post about every 5 metal posts? I did even more often than that.

Big Mike: His name is Jed and he is one of the best built beagles I have kept out of my breeding and a fair rabbit dog. He is mostly Littleman breeding on top and Lone Maple on the bottom. Jed's only real fault has a bit of extra mouth prior to the jump on frosty mornings like today. However, once the frost cleared, he was one of the few in my pack with enough nose to run under the blue-bird skies (HIGH barametric pressure!). Fortunately, he is NOT mouthy on the check!
