Scott,

A buddy of mine from Michigan has a female that's sort of like that. Difference being her whole face and head is blueticked. That's a nice looking dog you have there. Like the other guy said, I've yet to see an ugly bluetick hound.

Anyhow when are you going to get over to these parts and run his sire in a few Midwest SPO trials. Last time I talked with you I know you were contemplating it.

Take care...

I kept registered Bluetick coonhounds for more than 20 years and most of them are black heads and ears. But fairly frequently you'd get one that had an all blue head like your beagle has.
The old Sugar Creek line had mostly big dogs with all blue heads.

He wasn't sure if he was supposed to be a Redtick or Bluetick. One thing for certain, you won't have to micro chip him. You or anyone else would be able to I.D. him anywhere in the country. He is a good looker, hope he works out for you.

There's not a thing wrong with the way his head is marked. It's his crooked nose that I would be really concerned about. There lies the real problem. ---- Just kidding. He is a fine looking hound. Who wants a dog that looks like everybody else's anyway? I never did. Dan

I have never owned a bluetick, but I really love the looks of that little guy! Not only are his markings neat, but he's built really well too! Have fun with him! -Stacy
