I would think that when the judge tells you to handle your dogs the track is dead and all dogs must be handled and moved to another location then released together to be a fair strike and jump. I would think that the cast should have moved far beyond that area to not jump a runnin rabbit that was a loss especially if they minused dog a & b. Either that or a & b should have had + strike points but not after the judge called a dead track. They all should have moved to new location and released dogs together.
Reading your senario again though dog C should have had the strike points for they were all handled and released together in a different location, don't matter if it was the same rabbit for the dogs were handled and released per judges order.

From Field to Show and Show to Field the way it should be
question
If dog A just came out hammering by himself, and dog B and C were not around then I would give a strike jump. If dog A was pecking along and B and C were in the vicinity then I would only give strike points. This is a judgement call and there is no right or wrong. I try to give jumps when i can. If a dog lines out and I can determine that no other dog is in close proximity I will give a jump most times. Giving jumps is a touchy situation. I once received only a strike when it was a two dog cast and one dog was standing in the middle of the road with the judge when my dog jumped and lined out and ran for a full 5 minutes before the other dog ever barked once, so go fiigure.(LOL)

Re: question
If he called Dead track handle the dogs and then moved them, strike and jump should have been back open. If the judge felt it was the same rabbit he could have given you strike points but not jump points. A strike and jump is when a dog goes into a thicket by himself and fires out on the tail of a rabbit, not striking a hot line.
What I don't understand is did he have two dogs on the clock at the same time?? Or were these dogs just both minused on two seperate occasions??

dog a had a minus we moved then dog b got a minus then dog c after we moved again went in bushes a proceeded to get the rabbit goin ...i didnt see it come out but the judge did he wass only dog there . his reason for not giveing a jump strike was he said he thought it was smae rabbit the other were trailing .....i think ifnu say is all open verything behind that is wiped out and u start fresh......but he didnt think so i guess.

sounds like yall need better dogs or need to give them a little longer to work out the check i dont pick my dogs up if they get into a long check and at the trials if we cant run the rabbit we jump that might mean we all need to be picked up or give them a chance to work it out feeding them rabbits at a trial is wrong unless they run it to a hole
