? about reg. Red Beagles

Post by Adam M. O'Donnell »

Has anyone registered an AKC Beagle pup under the color option "RED" No. 140????? And did they let you????
I keep Bramlett Black and Tans with no white on them. and I just bought a Red pup from the Bramlett x Ellison Ridge Redman blood. I have a problem registering her as "Red and White" (no. 146) when she has no white on her.
Help me out, because I was told AKC would not register this pup if I try to change a color. Thanks!

Isn't there a red/tan. Probably be your best bet. Post a pic of your pup

Nope! No Red & Tan, or even Brown & Tan. But there is "RED" under color options on there web site. I was just wondering if anyone has tried to use it?

 Is there even a small spot of white on that dog ANYWHERE??? the chest?? Between the front legs under the ribs?? On the belly??One white hair on the tail???? Look that dog over carefully. Check the arm pits too. Chances are you will find atleast ONE white hair somewhere and if you do, register it as a brown tan and white.

She's an AKC registered "RED" beagle! Got my papers back a couple days ago. The breeder didn't know you could get on line and search for other color options. Thanks for all the replies everyone!

No, I believe that if this dog is totally red then it is probably an Irish Warfield Red. To have that much red hair it must be Irish.
