Time to run in the corn fields!

Jr Walker - my name is Pete Burns and I don't field trail. I'd love to get into it, but just don't have the time to commit to it at this time. I like to do things 100% or not at all. I'm sure I'll get into them at some point, but I am plenty happy now just running the dog hard several times a week.

BJK - most bean fields around here are not tall enough to hold rabbits yet. Beans are just getting up about 1 ft. tall around here. But, in another month I'll be running in the bean fields.

Nite owl I am right beside lebanon smack dab in the middle of lebanon and Nashville actually more towards lebanon @ 10 minutes away I understand about this trip and I understand about keepin up with the coonhounds thats how I get my exercise nothing like walking up to 10 miles a night through the woods to see a coon but its addicting I coonhunt more than rabbit hunt thats why my beagles stay at my uncles and the coonhounds stay here but I pleasure hunt beagles and comp hunt coonhounds just let me know I am always looking for people to hunt with I hunt just about every day or night

I've read your posts on here for a long time and you sound like a dog man that knows whats going on .
We've never met but probably should at some point and talk dogs and turn some out and see how they run together.
I live about 10 miles outside of Manchester on 55 headed towards McMinnville.
I'm not a trialer either although I have done plenty in the past and even was a licensed judge.Alot of reasons why I'd just rather gunhunt or pleasure run with friends nowadays!!!!!!
I have 5 pretty decent females that will hit it and git it that I run a couple of times a week.
Give me a holler if interested

My dogs are doing fine and I run them pretty regular. They probably don't suit anybody but me but that's okay.I like them pretty well. Ran Sat a.m. and again this a.m. and they kept one going round and round. Got a 14 month old and one that turned a year old yesterday that impress me each time out.

as u know all i got is patch dogs some likem some dont to each their own.i know u got some good dogs dana ..i got a 9 month old and none of my others dogs r older than 3. i just got 3 running dogs right now anyhow and 2 patch pups 12 weeks old!

Shady Grove -

Just getting back from being gone over the 4th. You are just down the road from me. Let me know if you want to try and meet up and drop a few hounds on the ground! This can be a rought time of year to run, but if a little wet or cooler weather comes through it can be excellent!

If you are running mainly Branko hounds, they should match up pretty well w/ mine, which are mainly out of Syris breeding. My best hound right now is a female who is tied up taking care of a litter of pups, but I have others that can get the job done

Glad to hear there are others new guys from Middle, TN. We ought to have a fun run or hunt this fall.

Mid Tenn and Preachers Kennel, welcome to the board - where are you located? There are quite a few guys on here from Nashville - Crossville.
