6 mo.old all over my 2 year old..is it a puppy thing?

i have a 6 mo. male and when i run him with my 2 year old male he wont leave the older beagle alone..
the 2 year old will continue to hunt wile the 6mo. is all over him..

is this a puppy thing that he will grow out of?

Sounds like a puppy thing to me. Takes awhile for the instinct to kick in over the need to puppy play. Your older dog should discipline the younger once he gets sick of the interference. The pup probably doesn't know what he is supposed to be doing yet.

ant, that is exactly why I wait until a pup is 8-10 months before I ever try to start them. I know folks have success starting them young but I just don't like fooling with it until they lose some of that puppy stuff. That's just me.
