New puppy and an old dog .

Hi everyone ...

We found a beagle pup ( about 4-6 months ) and we located the owners because of the chip. Its not registered though.They seemed to dump him because we tried to contact them for a week and they gave a call to the vet letting them know they got our number but never called. But the first day my 7 1/2 year old beagle saw the pup they liked each other. Now that he's still in our house for almost 2 weeks and we're looking for a home for him , my dog doesn't like him. Everytime the pup comes near him or wants to play he growls at the pup. We show equal love to them but the older dog always get more. The puppy releases itself on the floor sometimes.. how can I scould him to tell him hes wrong. What can I do to make the older dog like the pup ?
