Lonewolf, send me a pm and we can discuss it, I don`t sell many pups been keeping most between me and mark so we could make sure we are on the right track. Gil has laid the ground work and we are continuing on with the line. He still gives us good advise , talk with Gill real often and it is good to see him on here. You can tell he is still very passionate about theses dogs and he don`t even have one right now.... at all.
You could call me 919-691-1640 if I don`t answer leave a message I will call you back.
Thanks Paul

Neither.......Gill is the bullsh_t master......don't fall for it lonewolf! There have been many a young beagler fall for Gill's crap. Granted there are probably some good dogs out of this line but don't buy them on what he says. The guys from NC may be decent guys but Gill is a con artist! That's a fact. I've never seen someone blow so much smoke.

You know it`s a sad thing when a man ask about a line of dogs it turns into a personal attack on someone. Gil ain`t perfect EVERYBODY knows that. But then again nobody`s perfect... But he does know a thing or two about breeding. But you know what , he doesn`t even own a single Boldstroke dog. I know he got on here and called some people out on what they said but that still doesn`t reflect the line.
All I can say is ANYBODY that wants to see what the Boldstrokes can do come to North Carolina and Mark and Chris or myself will be glad to show them anytime of the year, day or night, rain , snow, or heat .... see for yourself and don`t let personal attacks get in the way of getting a good dog from a good line. And by the way I don`t have anything for sale...LOL
And for the ones that have Boldstrokes and don`t like them, don`t breed them and advertise the Boldstroke name....let them die out and go away.Don`t outcross them and put the Boldstroke name first.....name them something else .maybe Branko LOL...there sure is enough of that out there.
I hope yall see these dogs are for real and only getting better. Please if you are interested in getting a dog go see it for yourself, with this line or any line...

We have made several crosses that we have very high hopes for. All are still young but are placing in trials , some under the age of 1 year old. ( Don`t get mad Big Dog LOL ) Do I think we have reproduced Rebel I don`t know only time will tell. We made what we feel like were to really good crosses, Musket 1 x Gracie...and Rebel x Page.. Both sets of pups are showing great promise. But to be honest I made a cross that I would not make again , and no one will make a cross with the female again....I saw a trend that I didn`t like so she got the boot..The pups out of this female were not what we thought they should be so after 2 crosses with two differnt males and the same result she had to go...Musket was one cross and Rebel was the other and we have seen pups from them that are keepers... I know that someone sold a pup ( 9 months old) that came out of a cross I made awhile back for some where around 800.00 ... I guess that pup proved something to someone..lol...and at every trial I go to at least one person wants a pup or to breed to the Boldstroke line. But we are not mass producing pups, select breeding , we breed our best to our best...They are not perfect by no means just good all around, solid dogs and getting better.
By the way we keep all of the pups out of those two crosses so we could see what we had.........time will tell
Good to hear from you.....Hows that Jaws dog?

Lance,
Would you like to quote whatever it is from Gill that is not true? Just a general comment like yours leaves a lot more explaining to do that what Gill posted.
I have 1 Boldstroke pup in my kennel and so far he has started before my Branko pup and has better conformation to as well. He is as the name implies, very BOLD.

Boldstrokes
I have a young hound from Tom R's kennel is Boldstroke breeding and he is doing fine. Catches onto obedience fairly quickly , good conformation, a little slow to start but did. I will fix some of that myself
Nice,full mouth.
I havent been on the beagle boards lately and I am glad I am part time beagler now,and concentrating on sport/PP dogs. I am not going to comment futher on sad state of beagle breed , how ever this thread is just one symptom . Grow up
