Connected but not stuck

Post by Frank7ptbk »

I posted the other day that I was trying to breed my female beagle and the stud was not hitting the mark. Thank you for the replies. Well today I went out to assist. When he mounted her I just pulled her back leg foward and he finally hit the mark. He entered her and went like a jackrabbit for about 8-10 seconds and dismounted her. They connected about 4 times in the hour I was out there but never got "stuck". Is this enough to get her pregnant or as my wife believes do they have to get stuck? I don't know if he ever actually got off or not.

Wayne Gross got one of his Turbo females bred that way. T Rex knotted on the outside and he held them together as long as possible.
did your dog Knot on the outside? If he did he got off.

I have seen several litters come from breedings where the two hounds did not stay stuck together.I would go through the same routine on Tuesday and figure on a litter in a couple months or so.That is of course if the two hounds are otherwise able to reproduce.... CHH
