Lethargic and painful looking

Post by imagine1701 »

My beagle ate very heartily tonight but I have had him on Deter Coprophagia Treatment. He threw up feces a couple days ago. I was wondering if he could be having a reaction to the treatment. He has suddenly become lethargic and appears to be in some pain.

If your dog is lethargic get him to a vet! Things can go from bad to worse when that starts happening. What is he on the meds for? I dont recognize the name of it. If he is throwing up feces, it sounds like it could be a blockage. I would get him to the vet A.S.A.P.

There are no side effects to deter. It is like "meat tenderizer" it is more of a supplement than a medication.
Fecal smelling vomit is not good, especially if he hasn't been eating feces.
Lethargy is a warning sign too. And I never wait if there is pain involved. Could be something simple, but it could also be something bad.
I'd not wait this one out, I'd have the guy checked.
Like Samlyn said, these little guys can go from bad to worse pretty quick.
