I judged him twice in AKC mid-west licensed trials and he won both times. He ran with a lot of speed , but with control. He was close in the check and didn't get rattled by faulty packmates. Seemed to have a good nose, but I'd say his best quality was brains considering he was very young at the time.

I'm pretty sure his dam is Blackies First Prize; she was by IFC Round Pond Mr T. & a IFC Armando's Northern Tracker bitch.

In my opinion, Tyke is one of the best 13" males to run in the Midwest Assocation in the last five to ten years. I've had the pleasure of running against him, as well as marshalling over him on various classes that he's won and placed in. There's no use of repeating what Wells Woods says or Kane says as that's pretty much the way I see the dog as well.

As for what he's throwing... From what I've seen offspring that are like him. FWR JR's Dirty Sally and JR's Blizzard Of Oz are two of the hounds that are placing out of him. I've placed in front of Sally a couple times as well as behind her a couple times. She's a nice hound. Many of Tyke's offspring are still young, but I think you'll begin to start to see more and more of his pups placing as they get older.
