NKC PAPERS
Has anyone else had problems of them writing the FC down wrong.
I single registered a female a few weeks ago, her name is Swing's Sugar.
The papers came back as Turbo by Prop being a R Ch instead of FC and the same thing for Heli-Prop came back as a R Ch instead of a FC. It's even got Mark V Ace in the Hole as a R CH instead of a FC. This is completely crazy, if this was done due to jealousy this stupid, and I will be making a phone call. Ill let you all know what comes of it. Maybe it's just me or is it.

I have had that problem only once, but on almost every set up papers I send in they misspell something, whether it be the name of the dog, my address or something. This is not just NKC but AKC too. They then put you through trials and tribulations to get it fixed like you messed up. I had one lady at NKC tell me she would change it in the system but wouldn't send me another copy of the certificate. After very sternly explaining to her that I payed for a correct certificate and not some crap she eventually sent another copy out with the corrections made.

None of my NKC papers say "FC" on the appropiate dogs either. There is no prefix on any of them. I listed the appropriate titles on the registration papers, but it came back with no titles. However, all the titles I listed on my papers were AKC Field Champions, so I figured that was the reason why. I guess the NKC dont recoginze AKC titles?

Darrin & folks, I don't think any of the registries recognize titles from other registries on the pedigrees. The will just list the dogs' names and only the titles won in that particular registry.
If NKC is putting FC next to what should be a RCH, then they've goofed up. That could have some serious ramifications. There's a good possibility that some of those FC's are also RCH's, so they are only going to list their registry's title. Now, if those FC hounds are NOT also ARHA/NKC Champions, then they are giving those titles away - also not good.

If the sire of your dog has FC in front of it's name and the NKC left it out. Then in my opinion they screwed up your papers, because the sire earned the right to have FC in front of his name.
I said I would keep everybody posted on what I recieved from NKC and the reasoning from changing (FC) to (R CH).
WE SHOW ALL OF THESE AS RABBIT CHAMPIONS.
THANKS!

Del,
I just recieved papers back from NKC where I single registered a dog and I filled out the pedigree. Dogs that were listed on my pedigree that I filled out were field champions (FC) but when they came back to me it showed them as R CH. As in dogs like Jack of All Trades, Heli-Prop, Mark V Ace in the Hole, were all listed as Rabbit Champions, that I know of these dogs were never in a ARHA/NKC trial.
I was just wondering what the reason for this was.

In my opinion & this is just my opinion(wanted to start by saying this because I have held off posting any responses due to the last time I answered a question, I got plastered by a total stranger)
1) They are not ARHA Rabbit Champs & the prefix RCH is incorrect information.
2) An AKC FC cannot be recognized in the ARHA because this is a title gained under a completely different format & association& the dogs were more than likely not even registered in the ARHA when they won these titles.
Another way to show an example of this would be if you went to a Goodyear dealer to get your warranty on Firestone Tires.
An exception would be that the FC was part of their name instead of a title.
