BEST-LOOKING RED DOG CONTEST

Okay beaglers, post those pics of your red, red/white, or redtick dogs here. Contest starts today and runs thru April 11. Gene Bates from Jackson, Ohio will be your judge. Gene is a member of the Oak Hill Beagle Club (ARHA little pack) at which he is the bench judge as well as Master of Hounds. He has always loved and admired the red beagle and owns several of them himself.

As with the blueticks, the winner will have a color picture printed in The American Beagler. Post the dog's name, sire and dam, and owner of course, breeder would be nice.

Ok if you think you are seeing double here it is because you almost are.....litter mates to Blackdirts dogs.....

Don't BrewerMo and DarrinG's dogs classify as lemon and white. Or if not what color are they classified I have a dog that color and i thought it was lemon and white but if that color counts I will post a pick of him. Thanks if anyone can help.

In my opinion, the dogs I posted are white/red. Lemon coloration is almost yellow-looking, not darker, like liver or red. However, if Bev thinks our dogs are lemon/white, I'll withdraw from this one and wait for the lemon contest...

in my opinion those are lemon dogs, but.......also I feel lemon dogs fall under the category of red and white. So does redtick, chocolate red, orange and white, tri color with reddish tan and red noses.

Let's call them red and whites because I've seen Lemon/Whites that are very pale. They are truly yellow. Many have black noses, too. If it doesn't hurt anyone's feelings, I'll speak up if I see one I think is a true Lemon/White and have the poster wait until that coat contest. Is that cool with everyone?
