war
thanks for addin this piece to the board. I am just a young man myself but yet I seem to have a greater appreciation for our nation than most of the people we see on tv. for some people they can watch the video we just seen and they'd turn around and say that still doesnt justify war! well i said if that don't by god what does. we live in a world today if you turn your back your gonnna get stabbed. people question the debeate over WMD in iraq. i say but your self in our presidents shoes... think about it whether you like him or not. if it was your job to protect 280 million people? would you take a chance on it and just hope they didnt have WMD? i wouldnt.. but i'm sure some people would.. and i'm aslo sure if those "some" people ran the country we wouldnt be here long.. lets all stand behind our country and quit the naggin!

Although these pictures are disturbing, and people are complaining about Bush using these images in his political ads, we should see them everyday totrackman wrote: http://www.fdnylodd.com/BloodofHeroes.html

remind us why we are in Afganistan and Iraq. Our service men and women
are in harms way 24/7. I didn't think anything could be worse than the images of the Federal Building in Oklahoma but I was wrong. Bush is doing the right thing and I doubt Kerry has the stones to take on such a task.

have you seen the kerry commercial on tv... it goes something like this.. Kerry's hair cut at Christophe's 75 bucks, John Kerry's Designer Shirts 250 bucks, Kerry's 42 Foot luxury yacht 1 milllion dollars, Kerry's oceanfront estate 30 million, another rich northeast liberal claiming to be for the middle class, PRICELESS!! haha
I agree people do need to see that. I got cold chills watching. Im only 25 and 9-11 is the 1st major thing as a country that i felt hit home. Im not really dem. or rep but if they would show that every hour or so on tv people would eaze up on mr bush a little. I dont know if he is doing right or wrong but he is probley doing better than all of us easy chair pres. are doing. thank you for posting that.

Thought you might be interested in this forgotten bit of information..........
It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration.
There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning!
He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?"
Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir."
The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?"
"No, sir," continued Ollie.
"No? And why not?" the senator asked.
"Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir."
"Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned.
"By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered.
"Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?"
"His name is Osama bin Laden, sir" Ollie replied.
At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked.
"Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered.
"And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator.
"Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth."
The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip.
By the way, that senator was Al Gore!
Also:
Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners."
However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released.
Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified.
It was censored in the US from all later reports.
I think it is all relative. Opression, corruption and terrorists seem to go together.
