The floor where can I get that at is there a web site ?an is it small so pups feet don't fall through?
Re: Whelper I put together on the cheap
the flooring is called tenderfoot hog flooring. well to answer your second question...I'm not sure just yet. this is the first time i'm using this stuff and I don't exactly know how well its going to work for little 4wk old pups but as they grow to about 6-8wks I am hoping they can walk on it good. we shall see. This is an experiment.

Really a nice looking unit, Joey. I made a similar pen for just a single put or maybe a litter once weaned, but it's not that nice.

Really loved the way you built the hinged door to keep them in!

I think Cobra may only have a 6" tail. Should be plenty short, interesting when she grows up.

Looks like she's doing a good job catching on to the game.
I knew her tail would be really short. Bob patch had a small bit of afterbirth dried on the tip of his tail. At 3 days old I found it and picked it off and the very tip of the tail came off with it. I guess as it dried and tightened, it killed the tail tip it was around. His tail only grew to about three-quarters full length when grown. I saw then that tipping off a tail go's a long way to reducing length as an adult.
I know from raising Britney Spaniels that cutting the tail at 3/4" from the butt at 3 days old will leave you with a 2 1/2" stub when they're full grown. I was really surprised at that as we were only taking off about 1/2 the total length at 3 day old, so I expected that wasn't enough for the accepted look of the Britney, but cutting it only that much pretty much stopped the growth. I does not work out proportionately as you'd think(1/2 at birth = 1/2 full length as an adult). As with Brylcreem on your hair, "a little dab will do ya'".
