Try this and if you can't do it call me and I will try to explain it over the phone. (859)-509-1724

Go to http://www.photobucket.com and register. It will take you through the process and you can download pictures from your computer to your own "photo album". When you look at your pictures in your photo album there will be three lines under the picture with web addresses. The one that starts with IMG is the one you want. Highlight that entire line and right click and hit "copy". Go to the post that you want to ad the picture to and click IMG on the tool bar. Then right click in the box where you type your message and hit "paste". That should allow your picture to come up once you submit your response. Good Luck. It took me 2 attempts to get it right.

I was trying that but on mine I have to right click then hit select all, and then right click again before i can copy. But once you do one or two its easy. Ryan

Vince,
Pappy taught me how to do this. He posted it on this board and I printed it out. Even this old dog can learn new tricks.

Posting Pictures

Post by thornie »

I use photobucket.com mostly as hunt101 stays down a lot.Open an account with either one and then you will see a upload picture button, click on that and then click on browse and select the picture from your computer(just like attaching a picture to an email) and then click submit and it will upload the picture to your web host(photobucket or hunt101) Once it is uploaded highlight the picture address(url under picture) click copy. Now come here and click on the little box that says Img above your message body, now click paste, then click on the Img* button again and you should have it.Another step is to click on the picture address that has the Img already included and copy it and then just come here and click paste in your message body and it should come up.Once you've done it a time or two it is really simple.
This is how Pappy told me to do it. It was posted on here before. Go to search and type in Pappy and it will bring up posting pictures.

HOW TO POST PICTURES ON THE T.A.B. BOARD

Step 1: Get A Picture

First of all, you need to have a picture in a digital format. If it's in your computer already, then you can move on to...

Step 2: Host the Picture

You need to have your picture hosted somewhere. What we mean by this is that your picture needs to be uploaded somewhere onto the web, such as on your own web site, a friend's web site or one of the free picture hosting services, such as hunt101.com , imagestation.com or photobucket. Once your picture is uploaded...

Step 3: Find Out The Picture's URL

Find out your picture's web address. This is the URL you need to type to view your picture. A simple way to get this is to load up the page your picture is on, right-click the picture and choose "properties" from the menu that pops up. What you need will look something like this "http://www.ukcdogs.com/dogevents/images/bl-northern.jpg".

Step 4: Post The Picture

Now that you have the URL, you can inflict it on your fellow board members. All you have to do is type in the url, surrounding it with the Image tags, so it looks this: Image

The board should then display the photo automatically whenever the post is viewed, like this:

Keep in mind, however, that if your photo is removed from the hosted site, it'll cause a broken link on this board (the picture won't show up).

OK guys. Need some help here. When I first submit, I can see the picture.
It seems like when I close the other window with the actual image, the picture disappears from here.

Did you delete your image from the host site?Your image will not show up if your host site is down or your image has been taken off the host site .

KPrice, the reason you can see it at first is because it is in your computer memory from when you copied the picture address. You can see it but noone else can.The place where you have your pictures may not allow you to share the picture on another web host such as this message board. One thing that may help you is to preview your post before submitting it here.If it is going to work it should show up when you preview it.I am going to try posting the picture your trying to put on here to see why it won't post for you.

I tried but it doesn't post so I am thinking the host your using doesn't allow "hot linking" as we call it.Open an account with http://www.photobucket.com and upload your pictures to it then post them here.

Nice picture. One more thing,if you will notice the picture you posted is in a thumbnail veiw. Here is the address of your picture http://photobucket.com/albums/v690/clea ... rustyb.jpg In the last part of the formula you will notice th_rustyb.jpg,now if you remove the th_ it will look like this,http://photobucket.com/albums/v690/clea ... rustyb.jpg and will show a bigger picture.Or you can go to photobucket and click on the picture you want first and it will go to a bigger picture, right click on the picture and then click properties and copy that address to post here.
