Are all of the most influential dogs from up north? And if that is the case then does anyone know why?

GT, I would have to say that from where Rob and Myself are located is the center of AKC beagling. Within 3 hours from my house are Maravic, Northway, Haunted Hill, Awful Bawlin just to name a few. A little closer to Rob is Round Pond, Rockingham, Birchaven just to name a few. The hounds that have made these "household" names have ran at the local clubs. I watched Haunted Hill Shaker win over Brankos Jackpot at Black River several years ago. Moneysunk Mt Man, Shaker, Ninja, Slim Jim, Billy Jack, Striker all very close too here. I have personally watched and/or judged many of these. Rob has been around the trial circuit longer than me. A large number of clubs here in the heart of hare country make it a center for the now big names, they were just numbers then!!

Otterbrook Top Dog has been top sire in Canada for several years and has expanded his influence in the states in recent years. His producing record will match up well against some of the better known hounds mentioned above.

What about the Gay Baker and Dingus Macrea lines along with the Double Crowes We have some wonderful dogs out of these old sires and are planning on crossing them with the Branko's line of Bluetick we have recently purchased He has Ali Baba Heliprop , and many more Could you give me your thoughts on this type of cross?
