Question for raw feeders

Post by hogbody »

I've got some old laying hens I need to get rid of before winter. Can I butcher and cut them into pieces for my hounds? Is there any concern about bones?
I live back in the woods you see, my woman and the kids and the dogs and me.

As long as bird bones are not cooked they are not brittle enough to harm a dog. I used to always quarter up old hens and feed em to my dogs,

Look how fast they eat a caught rabbit and ours have always eaten a fish when they found one on the bank unguarded.
