What is the difference between an FC, FTC, and FCGD?

FC- Field Champion - AKC
FTC - Field Trial Champion - Canadian (CKC)
FCGD - Field Champion Gundog - AKC

what is the difference between a field champion and a field champion gun dog? Is it format or accomplishment?

It is format. Gun Dog is S.P.O. [Small Pack Option ],F.C.LP is a Large Pack Champion.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe there is also F.C.GDB which is a field champion in Gun dog Brace.

all AKC Field Champs were FC until a few years ago. It was changed so that you could have an idea what to expect from the dog
now it is
FCBR- Field Champion Brace = traditional brace
FCGD- Field Champion GunDog = SPO and/or GunDog Brace
FCLP- Field Champion Large Pack = Large pack
FTC is Canadian Field Trial Champion
