No doubt you've snuffed out many potential fires we've never known about (a walk in your shoes would be educational).
I do disagree about the breeders and houndsmen not having time or being unwilling to contribute to the board. I remember for awhile, Frieda was on Chris's board. There are many others I hold in high regard that have come and gone.
This could become a great thing, this message board, but instead it has become accepted as just another chat room...jmho...Patch

Good heavens, Chris's board is more highly regulated than this one. What does that tell you? I'm obviously not strict enough.

By whom? I'm guessing your glass is half empty right now. COULD be a great thing? It HAS been a great thing and still is. Ask those folks who have made hunting buddies here, sold their hounds and pups without fee, gotten expert medical advice, directions to a club, congratulations for a win....(or a new baby), a ride for their dog down south, help completing a pedigree, feedback on shock collars, building kennels, dogfood comparisons, tips on training, notices of upcoming litters, encouragement and condolences when somebody loses a hound or a loved one, 1,001 repeats to new beaglers on the use of Valbazen...

My word, the list goes on. Eliminating petty food fights and anonymous insulters will in no way diminish all that "greatness", lol! I can deduce you don't look upon chat rooms as great things. I'd stay out of them if I were you. The message board is much more educational. Especially when it's monitored correctly. I hate seeing you beat your brains out to make me feel badly about the board and my decisions, but it just isn't working. I still think it's a great place to be. Relax, and go with the flow. That used to be one of your most attractive qualities. You never use to burn up so much time fretting over stuff like this. Let me worry about it and you just take what enjoyment you can from here.

#1- My point was, that Branko and others were on a message board at one time, they did have the time. Not how regulated a board was...lol
#2- Not saying the board is not good, but ask anyone if they would like Branko to answer questions and give advise here(point was it could always be better).
#3- I've never been to a chat room, I barely have time to keep up on the 3 message boards I read now. Don't know how some people do it...lol
#4- "Beat my brains out"...lol
I'm not trying to make you feel bad, it's only my view of constructive input, but as I've said, it's your board and it's one of my favourites, so do as you will.
#5- Relaxing and going with the flow is for those who would be lead blindly. My goodness, we might all be running(walking) Brace hounds if that were case...lol

Bev's post above citing the wonderful things about this site is exactly why I thanked her in my previous post. I enjoy the sharing of knowledge and experiances of beagle people from all different demographics and walks of life. I've been around hounds my entire life and still have learned many things here from numerous folks. I used to trial coon hounds until the clicks seemed to override the best dogs. I've never trialed beagles so can't comment on that aspect but seems to be a lot of trivial BS about this registery and that registry being better or best. I say so what, who cares all us beaglers want is info and experiances on the little creatures we enjoy speending time in the field with be it AKC, NKC or UKC. I could care less if a requirement to be a part of this forum was to give my name, rank and serial number. I would do so if I elected to be a part of it. Remember this forum is being provided to us by someone else who has devoted the time, effort, fees to do so and as far as I can see has very few restrictions to be a part of it. Now if you don't elect to follow the simple rules applied to utilize anothers property then you evidently elect to NOT share your knowledge and experiances with the rest of us. I've been on this forum for quite some time and can normally tell by the person's handle whether the post will have any value to me and can pass right by those I feel have taken advantage of a person's gratitude of providing a FREE forum for the sharing of knowledge and information. I see that there are those that don't want to let the registration issue drop and move forward with the sharing of information. The only thing I can say is that BEV has provided us with this forum, free of charge to use and she has the right to stipulate whatever rules as she deems necessary in utilizing her property. The use of someone else's property is a priviledge, NOT A RIGHT and with priviledges normally comes some rules. If you elect to follow what rules that are set then you have the priviledge to utilize this person's property. If you elect to NOT abide by the rules then you have the RIGHT to establish your own property or utilize someone elses that carries your same views and you can then become a member of that click. Take it or leave it. Bev, I will again say THANK YOU. NUFF SAID.

Bev,it would be nice to give the participants of this board a little consideration and control over what takes place on the board and may induce many others to want to participate,such as the Branko's and more notable beaglers.
On the other note that i mentioned,was not you pay the bill and turn over control,but allow the beaglers to pay the bill and have total control,which in turn,would entice others to become part of the action from the beagle community,and what is so awfully wrong with beaglers having control and being responsible for their own actions?are most beaglers not responsible people that they have to have constant control and direction by a higher authority?like a kindergarten class of children?I can't see why such control and direction has to be mandated over such a group of responsible people?unless they are not a responsible group of people?To be a good leader,you must also be a good follower.Thank you for your time,here's your sign.

as i post this, i see that there are 1466 registered users of this board. and somehow 5 of you think bev should do as you see fit?? if you guys, who are a percentage of 1%, are that unhappy, go elsewhere. no one here ever have poker nite somewhere and had to follow "house rules" on betting or wild cards or etc?? i bet you still played and when it was at your house, it was your house rules...same here. if these rules arent what you like, then get a board of your own and then its your house rules.

Well, I've tried to stay away from this post but I will now give my thoughts.I've been following these boards for to long I begin with Donald Potts board way back when , I don't know how long ago, and it was a good board, then with the ARHA board with Gerald Bailey many remember all the crap he took, then the NKC buy out and the starting of The American Beagler, thanks again Bev for the bail out , You really stepped up when we were in need and some of the same people that at that time were your best friends and supporters are now constantly on you , go figure. I've been with this board since the beginning, many can remember a few that was trouble makers and theirs posts were all ways negetive and I recall one that an "elder " would instruct and tell him it must be his youth and immaturity that made him act that way; now the "elder" has a similar writing style. If you back some of the post in this thread back a couple years that fellow would be getting the blame, It's really comical. I think Bev has done a wonderful job on this board, thanks Bev!! I've been able to allow my son to visit this board with very few post that was not decent. I will not pick out people to make my points against, that is not my intent or style, but if you are reading this and feeling guilty or fill like this is being threw at you it it is NOT unless you are Guilty because I am making no implications that anyone except the guilty would feel . If you feel guilty you should just suck it up get off this forum and move on. Let those that enjoy this board do so without a constant negative reply from you. You 're WElCOME for those remarks. There are always about three or four that is being resonsible for eighty percent of the whining and crying . If you are one of those I kindly ask you to reconsider your ways, lighten up, or be a adult and move on, quit being a constant thorn in the side to this forum . I can tell you it will be a cold day before Branko himself sits down and pecks out stuff on a computer. That's not his way. If you care to visit him in Canada, or read the articles submitted to TAB, you can get an up-close personal account of the man and his dogs.

That being said, we do have the man who got Branko started in beagling, provided the breeding stock for Branko's bloodline, and handled many of Branko's dogs to finish, on the board, right now, on another thread...Mr. Terry McBride. It doesn't get much better than that, folks. Terry was no slouch in his own right - contribution to beagling and the bloodlines many of us run today. I bet there are few people on computers who can say they saw first-hand or handled Jack Of All Trades - and the dogs that produced him, and many more of those famous names in our dogs' pedigrees.

Terry, Danny Kane (re: IFC Able's East Cost Trimmer), Mike White, Tom Murphy and others in Canada are still around and contributing to TAB and are willing to share info with others. Butch Keene (Maine), by virtue of geography and tenure in the sport does the same. For those interested, these great houndsmen and others can be found on http://www.beaglescanada.com but you must register to access the message board, lol.

first of all I must say I don't care one way or the other if guest can post or not, i'm not going to lose any sleep either way but with that being said could you imagine if branko was to post on this board if the guest were still allowed to post i'm guessing if it was to happen he wouldn't stick around very long because I would have to guess they would be a lot guest giving him hell when chances are they wouldn't if they had to use their regular username.

I'm so sorry for never thanking you Bev. Between here and Beagles for sale online, I have been able to sell a litter of pups and at least a half a dozen dogs free of charge. Thank you Bev for providing a place for me to do this. I took it for granted and I am sorry.
My old methods of advertising dogs would have cost me cash and not reached near the audience that it does on the web.

In the future, I will try to be a little more considerate of the work that is done by others for my benefit.
