Garmin Alpha????

Post by 48180 Hunter »

I'm getting ready too purchase a 2 dog set. & was wondering if anyone was having any issues with them still or if they had them all figured out? I remember reading about people having trouble with them back during the winter. Thanks.

I had a pile of issues...then. I quit locking the buttons and just let the handheld timeout on its own...NO more issues..

I was creating the problem...go figure.

Best tool for hounds I have EVER purchased.

Every single garmin unit is on sale right now. If I was a betting man, there is a new one right around the corner. Standard Garmin procedure.

LOVE my Garmin Alpha!!!
However, . Got it when it first came out (year and a half or so ago). Unfortuanatly I've had some issues-- the handheld will shut down every once in awhile you can turn it back on and it will still b tracking dogs just an annoyance-- bought 3 collars -- the tracker on one is screwed up it might need to b updated?-- and the original collar that came with the system has completely died on me :( not very happy with these issues BUT I bought it when it first came out so I was taking a chance. I'm sure most of the bugs are worked out by now. Other than that very convenient and a must have safety system.

The TriTronics G3 EXP is a great tool, I still use it to train young dogs around the yard to get used to a collar and basic comands. The Alpha is total peace of mind when afield.
