advice or leave it alone

Post by gun runner »

As of now my F**k up state or county has me on 3 years probation for dogs barking. So I went around to all my neighbors and had them sign a pice of paper saying that my dogs hardly ever bark in the kennel. The judge did not even look at the paper and favor for her side and i got 3 years probation. So the job i have i did not want to appeal and loose again and get a charge, so I had to make a really hard decison to sell out and put the house on the market for the time being. So i can enjoy my life stile once again and get another place to live. But I have meet some great people on the board that i keep in contact with. So when the time is right I will fill my kennls again from people that are now my friends from this board. As anyone ever had this problem were they live? Not trying to sell anything, but just get some advice, all my dogs found a great home and i made a great friend out of this. That is about the only good part of my storie.

I don't know your states laws but the way it sounds it sucks. If I lived in a place like that I would try to find some land out of the city area and move to the country. I myself would have gone all the way with it and hired a good lawyer to fight for me. I know we are a long way apart but if you ever need help starting over I will be glad to help anyway I can.

I have lived in Maryland my whole life and it is never gonna get better. I can say this i live in central Maryland and the people out here have been great. I easily find places to run my dogs and no one ever complains about them. Good Luck and if you ever need to get out and hear dogs run feel free to contact me.

I have been thru the same thing, just one lady behind me in the new community that has complained about my dogs for the past 16 years. I have spent upwards of $5,000.00, due to the law in my County. If someone makes a complaint that your dogs were barking they send you a fine that goes up each time and you have to prove that they weren't. Her thinking was that if she keeps complaining I will get rid of my dogs, I guess she didn't realize just how stubborn I am....LOL.
She moved here from New York city and doesn't care for dogs.
I am lucky enough to have a cousin that I hunt with that is an attorney, it took going to a hearing with me and threatening to sue for harassment for her to back off.
She went as far as to come in my yard and video my dogs barking at her.
I told the judge she is standing on my property basically harassing my dogs, the judge stated it doesn't matter if she is 5 ft or 50 ft from your dogs it's your responsibility to make sure they don't bark.
This state does suck at least in this area, I had no problems when I was on the Eastern Shore and when I go back there.
She starts back up every couple of years, about 4 years ago they took about 14 dogs from my kennels, and made me put them all on the ground on concrete before they would give them back.
I had nice above ground kennels connected to a 8x16 foot shed, its all a money making racket.
As far as your security clearance I don't think you have to worry about losing that, I work as a government contractor in the IT field.
Any time you want to hear some dogs run just contact me, I'm located in Central MD.

I would start a new hobby like collecting poisonous snakes. Be sure to tell your neighbor that complained about dogs barking, if they see any snakes beware one may escaped. On a serious note I hope you move to a more remote area near your current location and keep running hounds.
