keep him on a lead till the start running if he don't pull wanting to go to them as you walk towards them he stays on the lead. #1

#2-find him if he is not with them lead him to them, then turn loose .if he don't go to them then I use a boot if encouragement don't work. this because he already can run a rabbit. and if I find him leaving the race I make him come to me put on lead walk him back to the race again.

I haven't had this problem but a few times over the years been hunting since I was 12 -55 now . but this has always worked has never failed. still it make take a few times...also make sure your only running him with a few dogs ..preferably something slow enough he can get some scent .and not get over whelmed.

Since he can run his own rabbit get him running then turn dogs in on him a few times. As long as he doesn't leave the race he should start to realize that the other dogs are running a rabbit when he hears them running.
If other dogs are running and he doesn't pull catch him get as close as you can and make sure he hears them then tell him "get to um" and head him in there direction. If he doesn't pack tie him up and let the other dogs run the rabbit around him for awhile he should get excited and want to go to them then turn him loose when they are close and tell him "get to um".
Sometimes it seems like some pups have to connect the dots in their heads between other dogs barking and oh there is a rabbit there to run. Unless the pup is very bold to much force to soon might completely ruin it.

Kennel the pup with an older dog and then run them together. If that works, add more dogs! Good luck. Some dogs just don't like to pack but yours is still pretty young.

All good response's, more solo, and brace time until he gets older, and physically mature. Probably to much pressure for a pup. I have one that did exactly what you describe at exactly that age. finally when she did pack, she would quit when a dog passed her on the front. Just took time, She's in the PP Hall of Fame now.

speed could have alot to do with it, but his age i wouldn't worry to much about it right now. who ever said the solo time and brace is the best advice i think you could get.
