why don't you stop asking me and start asking akc. just like i said you want akc dogs you stick with them. I don't care what registry they are as long as they have at least 3 gen of pedigree that people can tell me they didnt run coons or squirrels. Thanks. I wont blow my breeding on a grade dog that people dont know where it came from.

I got a viable story on Hall's Dixie so I will say she is an AKC registered dog, based on what I was told, but was not UKC registered until trialed by her owner. She did a bunch of winning as others in your dogs pedigree.

This came from a source close to the situation so my question was answered, that is the story, I sincerely hope it is true. Good luck with your cross and take care!

look guys and girls can we please just stop with all the hating and the bashing .... PLEASE, I only wanted to talk about great studs that are out there thats all, I have nothing against grade dogs at all I used to own two before when I first started out but i never bred them because i had no way of knowing what they would throw. I have nothing against ukc, akc, pkc, nkc , or grade dogs its just what i personally prefer please respect that. I wasnt intending on starting a haters post just wanted to talk about some great males out there. I just wish the moderator would delete this post it is a complete disrespectful disaster.

The first beagle was registered with akc in 1885. So at some point they took a grade dog and said its pure and gave it a set of papers. I actually talked to lady at akc Monday, as i have a dog I'm trying to get registered. She shows 5 generations but with a different registry. They informed me to mail all the paperwork I had on her and they would do some research and if they find her to be a purebred they will register her and I will have to pay the appropriate fees of course.

It doesn't show any answers there because its not possible to take a grade dog and register it!! I have gone into great detail with a AKC Rep on this subject and yes you can try to get your dog registered in AKC only if you know the history of the dog and who bred what and where and where they registered and so forth. Its not gonna be as easy as saying your dog is pure bred, they are gonna do the research to find out where it came from and blood work to find out the DNA!! The day AKC allows for anyone to register a beagle just from a grade dog and allowes them to run in trials I will be fighting it all the way. The value of the beagle breed stills has some value due to pure bred and no grade dogs as soon as grade dogs are allowed the value of AKC and keeping track of dogs goes down in my opinion. Are there great grade dogs yes but I don't want any of it I don't care how good it is.

And yes plenty of Hurry up hounds have ran in AKC

I don't understand how this topic went from which dog should she breed to, then went to grade dogs, AKC dogs and then how grade dogs got registered. No wonder Mandi wants this post deleted. It went ended up being a cluster______
