Italian style rabbit
we enjoyed a very nice rabbit meal new years eve i had to share with you guys because it was very delicious. You boil the rabbit meat for a good 45min then strain it. Dip the meat in egg wash then the breading. For the breading buy italian bread crumbs add alot of minced garlic to it some parmesan cheese and fresh chopped up parsley. Fry it up in a skillet till it browns up the breading it doesnt take to long at all. Enjoy.. you can thank me later.

That looks delicious!
Re: Italian style rabbit
give it a try. its really easy to make
Re: Italian style rabbit
joeyman, I might give that a try, looks good. Let me help you with the boiling for 45 minutes part. Put them in a pressure cooker and cook them for 14 minutes. Will save you a half hour on your recipe! Cook them much longer and you will just have pieces, which are good for some recipes by the way! Is your " egg Wash" just eggs only?

Re: Italian style rabbit
that would of been a good christmas gift. I dont have a pressure cooker. hmmm my birthday is coming up though.
Re: Italian style rabbit
After you use a pressure cooker , you will never use anything else again, unbelievable time saver, easy to use. I went for years without using one, don't know what I was thinking!
Re: Italian style rabbit
That does look good i'll be trying that one myself. We use the crock pot on low, go to work or hunting. When you get home it's ready to roll in flower and brown in the skillet, or roll it in what ever you want and fry it. Works great for us. This way will make a big old fox squirrel tender.

Re: Italian style rabbit
Do you guys soak rabbit in milk, brine etc before cooking. Also what seasoning do u put in crock pot? Ty
Re: Italian style rabbit
I soak it in salt water for a day or two in the refrigerator then just stick it in the crock pot with a little salt and pepper. Put it on low go to work, come home roll it flower, brown it in a skillet. This works best for us and I'm telling you it will always be tender. Plus good and crispy on the outside like fried chicken. But I'm still going to try that italian rabbit.
Re: Italian style rabbit
I soak mine in evaporated milk for 12 hours it tenderizes it and takes out any Gamey taste. (Work well)
