I believe that all of the outpouring for support of Phil, and his right to his belief and opinion, actually surprised them. I think they actually thought the majority of folks, would just roll over, and be quiet like we always have, during their rants and fits. Even felt the need to further miss quote, and take what he said out of context to try and say he was a racist,,,,When they saw they were not getting enough support.

I'm still shocked that those organizations came at him so hard in the first place. I mean they are sat up in order to defend their rights,freedoms, and beliefs. Even go so far as to try and manipulate our constitution to attempt to secure them. You would think they would be the last to try and tread on a man for using his freedom of speech and exercising his beliefs? All I can do is applaud Phil, for being honest and straightforward, and for the American majority to finally speak up..

Does anyone really think that there was not an exec. from A&E sitting in the interview room with Phil, at the time of the interview,or at the very least OK'd it to be published? It is not like they did not know that he would speak his mind when asked a question. He never has tried to hide his christian faith or beliefs, so where was the real shocker to them?

Someone mentioned Bible Thumping Earlier

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

I hope this link works. It is about what Charlie Sheen is saying to Phil. These movie stars are so out of touch because their job is to pretend to be someone they are not for a living and the saddest part is we support them buy watching their work. This guy is slamming Phil but lets look at his track record, claims to have slept with hundreds of women and I would guess men also, lives in a bottle, drug abuse, been arrested more times then you can count, and sadly has children. And he thinks Phil hurt his friends feelings so he is going to stand up for them because he has a loud voice!! Shoosh Charlie your giving me a headache.

The man's got a right to an opinion, called "freedom of speech", not, "freedom of speech"," but only if the liberals agree with it". If the person doing the interview didn't want his opinion, he shouldn't have asked. I've never watched an episode of D. Dynasty, think it's a cheezy show, but am happy for their success, they seem like good people. I'm not a fan of racism or inequality, however I don't think Phil was implying either, just speaking on his life's experience and an opinion. He is just the most recent flavor of the month, "attacked" just like Paula Dean. Not a fan of her's either, but she was a victim of the same kind of liberal witch hunt. Shame on her for being honest about a statement she made decades ago. Does it really have to "define" her. Really, how many of us on this earth can say we didn't utter a word or have a thought or deed we regret. For one, I am sick and tired of hearing who's openly gay, or which state approved or disapproved gay marriage. If you're gay, your gay. If you want to get married, get married. End of story. But if someone has an opinion on the matter, don't crucify them for voicing it when you ask.

They are a business. They depend on the masses to exist. Christians have had a record, over the last fifty years of not standing up for what they say they believe. Not supporting "Cracker Barrel" now would send the wrong message, IMO.
Its a positive if the folks who don't support the Biblical Word, boycott. Cracker Barrel will be a much more friendly atmosphere.

A&E Welcomes Phil Robertson Back to 'Duck Dynasty'

As you might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness. These are three values that we at A+E Networks also feel strongly about.

Who would have believed that those are A&E core principals.

TV,TV,TV.
Is this where America now looks for it's true core beliefs? Programs starring overtly feminine men that refer to each other as "my husband and my wife" Overtly masculine women as talk show hosts daily using their public platform to promote their agenda and their "companions"
We are bombarded in our homes with broadcasts of breaking news about this person "coming out", this same sex marriage ceremony and the photos of their public displays of affection! The magazines trumpet the gay headlines from the stands as you wait to pay for your groceries in Wal-Mart.
Hollywood and those that make a living acting to be someone they're not want the rest of the country to believe that homosexuality is the new normal,everybody's doing it and if you don't agree then you're the one that has a problem,that because the idea of men and men getting down totally weirds you out that you're homophobic.
Well I'm not homophobic.My uncle [mother's brother ] was gay and we loved him like the rest of the family and he was nothing but good to all of us.Guy I went to highschool with and considered a good friend came out as gay the year after we graduated.We didn't have much in common after that but still called each other friends.My ex-wife's younger brother and his male " companion" came and stayed at our house for a weekend and were as good a houseguests as you could want.Drove 500 miles one time to pick up a pup and take a hunt with the guy that raised the litter.Was supposed to stay there for the weekend.Upon arriving the guy says "I need to tell you that I'm gay in case you don't feel comfortable staying here." I told him I didn't have a problem as long as he didn't bother me.He never mentioned another word about it and we had a great hunt.
BUT,my inner feelings and Christian beliefs tell me that it is by no stretch"normal".No matter how many people on TV want to tell me that it is.The Christian faith tells us we should hate the sin but love the sinner.
Like Slaux I've never watched an episode of Duck Dynasty.Watched about half one time and I too thought it kind of "cheesey".BUT, I am so glad that someone on the TV that has so much of America's attention these days had the cojones to take a personal stand for what he believes in -----------even if it's something as politically incorrect as being a Christian!!!

So watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. (Luke 17:3)

Jeremiah 6:16

16 This is what the Lord says:

“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
