Not so good. Have hunted quite a bit only killed 2. Haven't jumped enough rabbits to even talk about it. Really need some hunting ground and a few hunting partners.

Running has been real good nice long runs . Deer season is over today so it should safe to run whenever we get a chance.the hare population is holding its own . We don't shoot many so we can get runs every time out.my two young dogs are turning in on pretty good so it should be a good year .

Joeyman, that's a nice choice of shotgun, I grew up with my dad being a big bird hunter. His father used a Belgium as so does my dad does. I have a Light Twenty i use rabbit hunting and I love it.
BTW rabbit season been pretty fair till this past week due to ice.

We've had two days of snow, wind--25-30 mph--and low temps. Could probably get a rabbit out of a brush pile but don't think they would run very far before holing up. Maybe tomorrow.

Took my pups out this morning. Had 8 inches of snow on the ground and it was the most fun ive had with them!!!! They didn't run very good but really didn't have to because the rabbits wouldn't come out of the brush. We jumped 6 and none of them left an area more than about 50 yards. Best part was the dogs had to dig thru the snow to get most of them up so im hoping this just made them a little better in the hunt dept. They have been hunting hard but today was the best ive seen out of them!!! The rabbits were running such a small area we had 5 sight chases and on 2 occasions the pups almost caught him!!! Cant wait for the next snow!!!
