Post by G.W. Arthur »

I went Thanksgiving day and picked up a free beagle 16 month dark blue female the guy went to the lot and had to chase it around the lot to catch her I was thinking what the hell am I getting? but he said she would run a rabbit but was a little hard to catch well to make a long story short with a little love and time she comes to the truck when it's time to load and she was leading my pack yesterday on a few chases!!

People don't understand that not all dogs start at the same age. Some start at six months older. Others a year or older. Takes work, and time.

Thanks guys !! I don't have a lot of money to put i dogs but me and my boys love to hunt so we take what we can get I have gone through a bunch of dogs but they all went to good homes as pets if they didn't hunt, I would love to get into Reg dogs and field trails but until the money gets better I'll just keep running my FREE dogs!!!

Glad to hear she's doing good. Might turn out to be the best dog you ever own. All because you're giving her a fair chance.

Keep us updated on how she progresses.

Mr. Arthur you look me up this summer and if I have any pups I will give you a registered pup out of decent dog for nothing.

I don't do this to make money I am blessed with a nice job, seriously call me and I will see what we have. It won't be a last pick either, that is not how I work.

Take care and good running!!

nice looking hound. i got one that hadnt been handled much and i let my kids play with him boy did that bring him right out of his shell and now he is a great dog. seems like kids dont intimidate them and can get them to do things i never dreamed of. good luck.

BCBeagles, very nice of you to do something like that.

And on a side note, one of the best rabbit dogs I have ever owned was a pet in the city that was chained to a dog house. Good people, nice house they just didn't quite understand a beagle. Anyways, he was 2 years old when I got him, house broke him and after his first rabbit season he was great. And then someone stole him. But, goes to show you that you never know what a hound will do till you let it do it. So, good luck have fun and take BCBeagles up on his offer if you can.
