My son had a valve replaced 10 years ago, and may have to go through that again soon, so I know how it feels. He is 19 now and thank God he has done great so far. Hopefully he'll continue to do well. Nothing in the world like having your child go through something like that. We'll be praying for you, her and all your family. Keep us posted on her progress!

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts an prayers.
Brittani is still down at the UofM cardiac hospital. She had some bleeding complications and other related issues because of her small size and weight.
The good news is, she should be coming home tomorrow afternoon sometime.
The doctor did however schedule another surgery for sometme in April to destroy the Sinus Node in the heart so the heart no longer gets signals from the brain and is controled only by the pace maker. This is a permenent step and her heart will have to rely on the pace maker for the rest of her life.
Again thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers.

My daughter is home and doing well. Her employer however decided that they did not want to deal with her heart issues any longer even though the pace maker is supposed to help with the problems, they decided to let her go on Friday.

i know all to well about having a child with heart problems
my son had open heart done at 5 months old and again at 7 months
and will have it done again the summer of 2014 its scary
