Looking for Starting Pen/Pup Trainer in WV

Post by bigcfromrbc »

I've got two pups about five months old, and I need a good o'l pup dog to train them. My oldest male at 3 1/2 years is way to fast, and my next oldest is a 1 1/2 gyp. Could probably use the gyp, but with an older dog that can still jump well, and stay straight on a track without being to fast would be best. I live in southern WV. Drop me a PM or post on here.

If not anyone know of a starting pen close to me? Someone that will get the pups running that won't cause me to lose an arm and leg?

Thanks for the info!

There is a fellow by the name of John Sexton around Milton WV that has a nice set up.

Where are you located?

Crum, WV.

I took one of the pups out tonight with my older dogs. Well I don't really have an old dog. My oldest is like three years and eight months old and my little gyp is one year and eight months. Surprisingly the pup I took which is five months old done it's best to keep up through the thickets.

I second McGrady. I went to him (almost 3 hours for me) a couple years ago. He is a good guy and took care of the hounds well. He ran in the pen and in the wild. Price was reasonable also. He knows his hounds
