Who Would You Like to See?

That is a great idea. I had thought about that in the past, but then I would have to get consent from AKC and too many liabilities are involved when doing so. I am a handshake type of guy. Plus, if someone's dog did something wrong and they didn't want the "Beagle World" to see, you know who would have to deal with that...me. Also, I want to get away with too much competition with the video. I just want it to be about having fun, watching hounds run a rabbit, and maybe a few bonuses like watching accomplished competition hounds run.

I will just stick to videoing guys' hounds that I know and trust, and putting some hounds on video that people will enjoy watching. (Hopefully)

I doubt you would need AKC's consent. If any consent would be needed, it would be from the association of that particular trial. As far as recording someone's dog doing something undesirable, you do have the right to edit. Not complaining at all, just think you are doing something interesting and voicing my opinion. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your latest work.

I have made two thus far, working on my third now. I am not sure if I will sell a "complete set" or not. I will have to look into that. The first video I produced is still on VHS format. I am in the process now of burning it to DVD format. When that happens, I can sell some of them if anyone is interested.

You need to put a camera in front of Dexter Reffett. I wish I would have recorded half of what I have heard him say of hounds he has seen, owned and bred. I would like to see a few other interview's. Branko's... Komormy (Northway) and many others. Would it not have been awesome to have had Frank Reese and Gay Baker on camera (gay bred beagles). I may not hunt anymore right now but the breed and the knowledge some have still amaze me.

Dexter is probaly the overall greatest wealth of breeding of any one person i know. He has spent a lifetime bettering the bred and has taken some chances few would. Granted he will cull harder than most but at the end of the day he has produced a hound most would love to own. Another person is John O aka fulcount he has year after year been the man to beat, where ever he dropped. He has some great knowledge and has judged or seen the Great Ones. Not bad for 80 yrs old and can still keep up and run more than most.Husstler would be a treat to see on tape.
