There are so many hounds out there that I like that get it done every time out. I must be honest after researching pedigree after pedigree I can say the Jig's pedigree is number one in my book to get that complete hunting hound. Jig's is will known to produce hunt and control "you need to see it for yourself " being consistent yes! What I am seeing is you can breed anything to a up close jig's hound and get a awesome hunting hound. I will say that there is a lot of consistent hounds that come from Haunted Hill Shaker, Jack Of All Trades, Able East Coast Trimmer, Branko's Close Call Girl, Maravic's Blue Ninaja, Brankos Ali Baba, And my favorite Elm's Jig's Maggie's Mate. Having this in my kennel I breed a Hill Shaker and a up close Jig's Hound and folks let me tell you it worked. Just made this cross again pups will be here in September can't wait  the jig's stuff

Noticed a lot of mention about Jigs and Shaker so I thought I would look them up on the website, both produced a number of field champions.

My dad has grade dogs and IMO they are much more consistent then theses high bred titled registered dogs of today. Back to the question would it not have to be branko? I mean look and how many dogs go back to close call girl.. But they ain't what they used to be though that's for sure

Im really liking my Junie blood (Pine Mtn). I have great plans in the future for it that I want to try. I like the mix of Junie with the Primetime and Superdog. Im super excited about breeding My Ruger dog to my Whiskey dog. I think they are gonna be tough, it will be double Junie and Double Primetime. Plus I have a secret weapon that might have to meet Ruger as an outcross to her if she makes the cut but from what I hear they are tuff to handle ;) aint that right Justin (upstatenybeagler)!

I bred to Runner recently, from what I've seen from my Blaze female and the off spring off of Runner I should have some good pups. I've kept two, Bailey's Briar Blazing Buster and Runner's Radar. After they start my next cross I would like to make would be Kimbrel's Kick Em Up Kane X Harner's Briar Bashin' Blaze. With limited breedings, Kane is throwing some tough hounds.

I have a direct daugther to Sport that I breed twice and never out of those breedings did I ever get a dud, most were well above average and had good hunt and outsanding nose. I tried to weed thrue pups to come down with one or two that ran a little cleaner and closer as most were on the edge most of the time. Anyway They say the Enemy of good is Perfection, and I might have let one go that was as good as I had gotten.......DH
The Dam to my males is FC Threejays Jacks Flash (IFC Haunted Hill Shaker @ IFC Squerril Creek Angie)

Hummer's first litter, I kept one and sold the rest, my male went over just a little but was still nice hound, the gun hunter that bought the rest wont let none go and was glad to buy mine.
