Scott, the reason I drove 3 hours to buy those pups is that the best dog I have ever owned came from that line of breeding. Those two females are in the process of becoming fine hounds. For the record, they were jumping their own rabbits and running solo at four months of age. They are both in heat right now and I can't wait till they come out so I can get them out in the field.

All these dogs sound great. I had the pleasure to hunt with a guy and his 2 red daddy rabbit dogs. They were small 13 in males, tore every briar patch apart! I was in awe that a dog could get into a briar patch that was so thick. Grit/hunt was a 10, speed was however a 5,

My Sketter dog out of Glomski's Little Skipper is bar none the best natural jump dog I have ever owned.

Skeeter is a grand pup out Gunsmoke Red Pepper II

I have a 2 year old out of Neil's Kane dog that is also a very good jump dog.

I am pretty sure Kane is out of Gunsmoke Red Pepper II.

Gunsmoke Red Pepper II blood I am sure is the key here.

You are correct Jim, My dog Benz is a pretty good jump dog for his age, his grand mother on the bottom side is Red Pepper II

Super Fly Trick...... Trick is a litter mate to Kick em up Kane, and Trick is what they call a jump dog. I would say out of 10 times he will get 9 jumps. Trick is also very good in the check! Overall I would call trick a top notch Rabbit dog that can also get it done in the trials.

Its old news but My old Junie dog was about the best i owned, seemed as though he knew where they were.I went and run with rufus one saturday and his best, Junie virtually jumped them all. I loved that ol hound.

Are there any breeders still out there with northway bloodline ?

I would say Trick is a 7 but like I said excels in the checks and jumps. Kane I have never personally watched run, but I think his track record speaks for himself. I am not sure if there is any videos of Trick as of right now, but I'm sure we could arrange one to be made.

I ran trick for a few months and he is a top notch rabbit dog, all day hunt didn't matter how hot it was, he would get the job done. Also seen his brother Kane run and that's why I have 5 pups out of him.best rabbit dogs I have seen in a long time.......and that's a fact..

I've gotten to hunt over Kane and Trick. I've seen both in a trial setting as well. I agree with Brian Green that Trick is about a seven where as Kane is about an upper 8. Kane gets in and out of the check. Don't listen to what you might hear, Kane isn't mouthy, he's a rabbit dog plus. He jumps rabbits and a lot of them. I got to watch Trick in February of 2013. He put on a show, from what I saw that little guy has a good sense of direction, he knows where the check is. Seemed like he beat a good cast of dogs that day. I personally like Kane better due to the fact I've seen several pups off him go and he's producing well with limited breedings. Also Kane is closer to me as well. I also think its remarkable that Kane being a 13 1/2 or so size hound hold his own and make FCGD as quick as he did a big thing. He ran against some tough and bigger hounds during that trial season. Trick is still a great hound that really hunts hard and is a good jump dog as well. That day in Kentucky he jumped a good amount of cotton tails and swampers during hunting season. That cross produced because of their mother, Gunsmoke's Red Pepper II.

You can't go wrong with either dog, both are rabbit dogs!!!

take most of these gun dogs too a 500 acer cut bean field see what one leaves the field too go find a rabbit.... that is how you can guage hunt. most these dogs need too be put in rabbits to find them. i got 2 that you can cut anywhere.. they will find a rabbit with or with out you... that is what i call hunt :D :D
