I need to get this dog registered

Post by Smoke »

The dam and sire was registered in Akc. But the people that owned the pups first did not register them. Is there any way that I might be able to get him Akc registered.

The amount $ doesnt matter

Not 100% sure, but I think you still can.You have to show proof that both parents are akc reg. You may need help from the owners of the parents on that part. If you go to http://www.AKC.org/ I think you will find the answers to your questions. CHH

If the dog was never registered, you have to contact the breeder and they will get replacement puppy papers. They have to write a letter to AKC and send it in with $15.00. Then you can go from there when you get the papers from the breeders.

Good luck!

The owner of the Sire and Dam MUST register the litter if they haven't or won't you're out of luck.

The AKC will impliment penalties (fines) to the breeder, tell the breeder you wil pay the fines for them, worst case you may have to DNA the sire, dam and puppy, its easy as theAKC will send you a kit with a swab and a plastic baggy to keep them separated and labeled...
