Re: how many miles?
According to my Garmin I've put about 12 - 14 miles on my dogs in about 6 hours, I believe that's the most. The other day they ran 2 1/2 hrs straight and put about 8 miles on the garmin, so it all depends on the rabbit and the amount of poundage.

Re: how many miles?
This year in October running hare in Maine we were putting around 18-20 on some dogs and as low as 13-15 on other dogs running at the same time on the same hare so who knows how accurate they really are. This was using a 220 And dc 30s and one alpha with one collar. Most I have on running cottontails was around 13 with a full day of running. I now have the 320 and dc 40s it seems to read a little faster then my 220 and little more miles hopefully bc it is more accurate.

Re: how many miles?
This morning on my way to the running grounds I started a new hunt and set the trip on my truck. When I got there the truck read 10.3 and the garmin 320 read 5.18. I dropped dogs at 6:30 and caught at 8:00 and the garmin said they put on 7.5 mile, wonder how many they really put on? And I did start a new hunt before cutting dogs loose.
Re: how many miles?
Budd the collars usually won't read right back to the unit when they are that close to each other. Next time you go out try and have the collar in a buddies truck and your receiver in yours have him put it on the dash or antenna or something where it can get signal. I bet it is more accurate but I am also curious of how accurate these things are. My guess not nearly
As accurate as most think. Yardaged wise to the collar I think they are very accurate I just don't thing the overall traveled miles and speed are.

Re: how many miles?
About the most we put on our dogs was last day of rabbit season this year. We killed 20 rabbits and jumped about 22. Most of the rabbits ran big and the dogs averaged about 18 miles. ROWCO
Re: how many miles?
In the summer mine average somewhere between 15-19 miles a night solo If I drop more then 1 at a time I can get into the 20's
Re: how many miles?
i had 36 miles on a 14 month old male out of fc male road luck and chapkos speedy daytona in one day. he was aty an average of 6 mph most the day but ended up olny finishing at just over 3 mph. i was very happy with him. he is taking the drivers seat of the pack as of late.

Re: how many miles?
one of my males jumped the fence and ended up 42 miles away at a house with a poodle in heat, took two weeks to get the grin off his face.

Re: how many miles?
I have noticed when I run my hounds together they will run at around 4.5- 5.5 mph. If I run them by themselves they only average just over 2 mph. We will run solo or pack for at least 15 miles when I take them out. Only cotton tail here, occasional swamper. I love to see them compete. But I really love the solo time.
Re: how many miles?
A typical day of hunting they put on 15-20 miles average...the highest I've seen was 26 miles and they were beat...when I got home the older female just laid in the back of the box and had to be lured out with a biscuit.
The funny part was I put them in their kennels at 8pm and they were rearing to go again at 4 am the next morning.
