Many years ago I treated a young male with 1/10 th of a cc of liquid Ivomec orally for 28 straight days on my vets advice. By the 20th day I could see hair starting to grow back. I hollowed out a half of a hot dog with a drinking straw and put the Ivomec in the hot dog and gave it to him that way.
Where's the earth shattering kaboom ?

First two days give 3 tenths of a cc next two days give 4 tenths next two days give 5 tenths after that give 6 tenths. However this does nothing to stimulate the immune system which is really the underlying problem with demodectic mange.I have been taking my dog to the vet for immune shots since early april I think ,However, many on here have recommended fish oil pills for this.I asked my vet about this and he said they do help. Some dogs recover and never have a problem again and with others it reoccurs .I am currently treating one of our dogs for this problem and unfortunately with him it has been a reoccurring problem. The reason you start out with just 3 tenths is that some dogs can be very sensitive to Ivermec. You will need to give the Ivermec to the dog for approx 10 to 12 weeks or until be has a clean scraping. This is what I am doing with our dog but please confirm this info with your vet or others on here.I will be the first to say that I am not much of a vet.

vitamin e boosts the imune system in dogs according to my vet, but be careful as dogs can overdose on vitamins as they can not pass overabundance of them as humans do. Your vet should have a vitamin pill, they are cheap. There is also a collar available that lasts for 3 months that kills the mites. Works great. Never had luck with ivmec.
Thanks,

this wil work and is very inexpensive,,,,

1 bottle of peroxide
1 box of 20 mule team borax
1 bucket of water..

use a cup of the borax, half bottle of peroxide and bucket of water,, soak dog down every other day and let it dry on him, in about 2 weeks hair will be back on the dog.... i didnt beleive this but it works
