More Snow Action
Snow was coming down this morning so I loaded up and headed out. Dogs down were Gracie, Ranger, Ready, Spot, and Weenie (who has been on the shelf for a couple months). Running was great but the first hare would not get out and run big, he ran a very small area for two hours, got a ton of footage off it. Finally pulled dogs and moved them down to a hare I had seen 45 minutes prior and was astounded when the only dog I had that would take the track (Ready) went out like she was looking at it. This hare ran HUGE and I could never get set up for any footage of it, and sure the hell wasn't wading threw that over the knee deep wet snow. Weenie held tough till the last half hour and when I caught the pack off the hare he was 130 yards behind but coming on the line, this was the first time I had ever thought I had run a dog to death, he could barely walk. Got him home and got 3cc of Dex in him and he is now resting in the house. He gave me everything he had, can't ask for more then that.

northern minnesota makes the adirondacks look like florida and were olny a few miles from the canadian border.
Re: More Snow Action
I don't have cottontail here to compare the running, have ran both but never here in the same condition's same day so I can't really answer that question.didion419 wrote:good lookin dogs nice vid. Yeah, but the border you speak of is right by Toronto....barely even Canadian so it doesn't really count. Hell they call in the armed forces (what little we have anyway) when it snowsadirondackjoe wrote:northern minnesota makes the adirondacks look like florida and were olny a few miles from the canadian border.

Bud is close to the Canadian border too.....but a little further north

I hear ya brother...will be running on snow in May and afraid to guess when the frost will come out of the ground. My parents have done decided they are not going to plant the sweetcorn field this year.jim matuszewski wrote:great video budd so sick of winter also, real thankfull we were just a little to far east for that last blast, crazy spring forsure

I enjoyed the music but I really enjoyed watching your dogs looked like big fun I am in Iowa all our snow is gone replaced by high winds & lots of rain I would rather have the snow. Your video made me smile what bloodline of dogs are you running they seem to handle that snow well.
