A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
hello everyone... I'm new to beagles and have a question.. I purchased a pup last year from a friend who has a good line of rabbit dogs but he is not into field trials or anything like that. On her pedigree most of the dogs have FC in front of their names and her grandfather has "nspc" in front of FC then his name. What does all of this mean?
My neighbor is into beagles has a huge running pen (Dean Biscamp) and I spoke to him about taking her over to let him see her run and see what he thinks but I haven't had the chance yet. She is pretty good in the woods and I have taken her out a few times and she great.
Below is a copy of my pedigree, has anyone ever heard of any of these dogs?
I was looking through the Small Pack Option field trail rules and somewhere in there it talks about an National Small Pack Championship and it states "The winner of each class at this trial shall be entitled to be designated 'National Beagle Small Pack Option Chamption'..." Chapter 9, Section 9
My money is on that it has something to do with this. Do a google search for that hound and you will find youtube videos about his offspring and information about him.
NSPC FC means National Small Pack Champion / Field Champion and the hound has won AKC nationals for SPO

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have driven by his house for years and always wondered what type of fence that was, after learning waht he does it now makes sense.. I have never met him but after talking to him on the phone for a little bit he sure seems like a great guy and eager to help.
