I have fed several brands of feed and I like Black Gold 26/18 black bag and also feed Diamond prem. 26/18. I pay $32.00 for Diamond 50 lb. bag.

JPRITCH wrote:I switched to Victor 24/20 to help control allergies in my blood hound and it works really well for me. The beagles have also done very well on it and maintain there weight and endurance. I was feeding Pride professional blend 24/20 when running dogs alot and the 21/17 when out of season. The dogs did well on it also. The biggest difference I see is the waste clean up. Victor has less mess to fool with. I don't think you'll go wrong with either! The price of Victor is about 7 dollars more a bag than pride and it comes in #40 pound bags instead of the #50 pound Pride bags. Either can be purchased locally.

I have tried every one imaginable up to the high dollar ones. Purina Performance has surpassed them all. Again, my opinions.

** don't have Victor close, I cannot speak for them.**

agreed Eddy the performance does pretty well it' comes in 37.5 lbs bags and 37.50 a bag at granville mill on cedar st in newark ohio. Switching to pride from pro plan you'll be shoveling the poop out of ur kennel with a bulldozer I promise lol.

if we knew what was going to happen should have boycotted the first bag sold under 50 lbs
-i remember when pretty much all brands of dogs feed that i was aware of came in 50 lb bags--when they had a sale it was 55 lbs

now almost everything is sold in smaller sizes - and they keep getting smaller -
i buy 50 lb bags i dont want a 37 or 36 or 31 lb bag

its just a trick and it really ticks me off :angryfire:

now they do the same in grocery store
12 oz bacon - looks like a pound - 48 oz icecream looks like a half gallon --- its a trick - dont buy them :)
