As my father lays in a hospital bed . I think about what makes him smile and thought I should give credit where credit is due.
To Stavemill Beagles. You took on the responsibility of running Miles when all he was doing was languishing in the kennel .We appreciate this very much and win, place or show ,my Dad loves getting the reports back of how he is doing .Thanks very much for all of your efforts. We have been in this sport for a long time and have been blessed to meet a lot of good people. Your family is among the very best of these
TO M@K Beagles . You won a stud auction fair and square .You weren't obligated to give my dad anything but you did anyway when you had very few pups to spare .Very few people would have done such a thing .My Dad is crazy about this pup and considers him the next big thing in our kennel .You guys are truly a class act !
Jimmy Abshire . You made a cross that you didn't much believe in simply because Bryan and my Dad wanted it done. The results speak for themselves .It truly illustrates the power that Junie brings to the table .This cross has given my dad more enjoyment than you can ever imagine and you will always hold a special place in the heart of Murphy's Kennel
There are probably others that I am leaving out but I thought I would post this while it was on my mind .

I can't speak for the others however, I think they probably feel the same as we do.
We think that Papa Murphy is a very special man. We haven't known ya'll for very long and yet the Murphy family has a special placed stamped into our hearts forever. Even our children appreciate how welcoming you all were when we came out to Kentucky, and when you came to Missouri. You are the only person who has showed up with Ice Cream and a LOT of candy when coming to pick up a dog.
Your kind words of us are so welcoming, but not needed. We wouldn't have changed a thing if we had to do it all over again.
Before Ditto ever turned one Mark was trying to figure out what to breed her to. Every trial that we went to he would pay more attention to the competetion trying to find the one special dog. Bryan brought Miles out here and we ran against him in the Semi-Finals, on the way back to the truck he was quizzing Bryan on what it would take to breed to him. All Bryan would say was your going to have to talk to Papa about that, I don't know what he will say.
He was very impressing, so impressing that I got in big trouble cheering on Miles during the that cast. We were so afraid that we wouldn't be able to breed to Miles and when he hit the Stud Auction we were willing to pay the price to get the opportunity. The pup was just our gratitude for the hospitality that ya'll showed while we were trying to breed.
We will continue to keep your father in our prayers as well as the rest of your family.

It's pretty strange how people come into your life , ol man stayed in the shadows why Brian was his mouthpiece. One thing is for sure Dream was coming to Junie if Joe had any say so in it. I can honestly say that Dream was the hardest bitch to bred to date. But finally after several tries Junie and me sealed the deal. First thing I did was call the Brian.
Brian does tell it right I just didn't see that cross ever being what they become, pretty unreal litter of Hounds.
The "Dream Team" as they are called has produced several nice dogs. Ol Joe knew something I didn't, looking back I am so glad he did. Ya know sometimes ya really can't see the trees for the Forrest. I am guilty in this case. You boys have been fortunate to have a houndsman for a dad and grand dad.at anytime I can help any of you boys in anyway, all ya got to do is call. Take Care and send ol Joe my best

Grand-dad is a super great guy who I enjoy visiting and talking dogs with. He has forgotten more that I will know about the hounds we love. We are extremely grateful for grand-dads insite to make the cross making the "Dream Team" and look forward to the "Dream Team 2" litter - hitting a trial near you soon. I am always excited to call grand-dad and let him know of Miles next accomplishments - you can always hear it in his voice how proud he is. Which makes it all worth while. We have spend many hours on the phone talking dogs and letting him hear ol Miles run and look forward to many more hours of visiting. We consider the Murphys part of our family. Get well soon Grand-dad - we sure have a lot more miles of running to put on some hounds.
