Took a shot of ole Hawk while I still had him. Casey his daddy from Don's Buckeye X Sugar Ridge Ivory Patch and his mama Aunt Sib from Don's Buckeye Patch X Sugar Ridge Patch Peaches. Ivory and Peaches were full sisters from Hot Patch Hard Rock X Hot Patch Blossom. Buck was from Ole Stupe X White Lady.

Re: Old Warriors...
How old is he Charles?
This post made me think I should take Hammer out before it's too late.
I haven't had him out since last July when he got hit by a car, he's healed well, but awful stiff ever since.
Hammer and I hit it yesterday for a few hours, he hunted just like always, one of the best jump dogs I've ever owned. He jumped one within 5 minutes of cutting and ran it hit and miss for about a half an hour.
He jumped #2 shortly after and this one lasting for an hour and a half.
Just steady (slow paced with the snow and his age) with minimal short checks. I couldn't believe how consistent he was for being layed up for so long.
It sure brought back some good memories of when he was a young hound. I finally had to catch him off the rabbit, I didn't want him hurting today.
I'll be running him at least once a week now, I don't want to be sitting here one day feeling bad because he spent his last years sitting in a kennel.
Charles,
Thank you for this post, because without it, I would have run young hounds yesterday.

Rowdy,
He's 12, I remember when Bud and I met at Fort Wayne to exchange the pups, I gave him Hawk and he gave me Horn.
How's the snow up your way?

Yeah, the weather man said it was almost 50 degs. warmer a year ago, than it is today. They say new low record coming tonight, I got my heavy coat back out to wear to work. Pot of soup cooking on the stove sure smells good. We had just started using the grill again, not tonight...

Cottontails skimmer Logan elm blue skim x mnt golf dolly. Skimmer has been the hound that I have had the most fun with. He has been my favorite He's getting up there in age. I have went thru a lot of hounds and he made the bar high.
