Republican's and America's worker's

Post by Pine Mt Beagles »

Republican's -are once again trying hard to stop a minimum wage increase ,,while employer's take advantage of the weak job's market left over after their past try at economic destruction.

Along with their attacks' on union's --Teacher's-Firefighter's -Police and Military -ad other's-pay and retirement's---and their passing of the right to work for- less- in as many states as possable.

Characteristics of Minimum Wage Workers: 2011
In 2011, 73.9 million American workers age 16 and over were paid at hourly rates, representing 59.1 percent of all wage and salary workers.1 Among those paid by the hour, 1.7 million earned exactly the prevailing Federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. About 2.2 million had wages below the minimum.2 Together, these 3.8 million workers with wages at or below the Federal minimum made up 5.2 percent of all hourly-paid workers.

While a minimum wage worker makes about 14,500.00 annunally based on a 40 hour work week,Republican's seem to think this is just to much, even after taxes ,the cost of rent or a house payment,a vehicle to get to work, gas, insurance on the vehice, food ,,clothing,,education, etc.Republican's think these American's have entirely to much money on their hand's .

Remember -these are just some of the sorry no good people who refuse to take responsability for themselves who think some one owes them something --The -47 %--that -MITT ROMNEY and PAUL RYAN --Talked so much about do you know any one who fit's in with this sorry bunch,,of course not you are Republican's the Elite Americn's ,No one but you deserves a raise .

You PMB obviously don't realize that minimum wage jobs are designed for those without any skill base, little education, no formal training or that have CHOOSEN not to do anything to make themselves marketable. Minimum wage should be less than it is so that companies could hire more people to gain experience to help them on a path to some type of skill that will make them marketable. If someone has a home, a car and for gods sake a family on minimum wage then they have made some VERY, VERY poor discisions for them and the people around them.

No he gets it he just doesn't care because in his eyes it's not fair for all. It's not fair that some people keep their nose clean and finish high school and put in the work and pay the money to go to college or learn a trade in order to better themselves in hopes of living a somewhat comfortable life. While the d-bag that spent every waking minute of his youth rebelling against authority figures and partying that got his girlfriend pregnant(which btw wasn't actually his fault, it was the republicans fault because they didn't deliver free contraception right to her door in time for him and her to be able to make a bad decision either because they didn't care or because they had skipped school the day they taught sex ed and the boyfriend used all his money for cigarettes and drugs so he didn't have any money to buy condoms at the local store on the way over or money for gas to drive to the local planned parenthood facility to get some free condoms........."oh wait, where was I") never bothered to at least attempt to go back and try to get his GED after he quit school because it was easier to live off of everyone else and never put in any extra effort to better his own situation.

Oh I'm sorry, I sure hope that wasn't too harsh for anyone that has a bleeding heart for those that don't contribute.

You Republican's and your arrogance along with the giant ego -equal's hippocracy--on-every front,Minimum wage job's are not what they used to be ,they are becoming the norm in AMERICA THANK'S LARGELY TO THE REPUBLICAN PLUTOCRAT form of government .
Republican's continue to resist creating good payng job's they rather send them over sea's ,mainly ,they want to control the work force completely ,people who make minimum wage cannot donate to a political party who will try to help improve their quality of life. But that is just one of many reason's.
as for your ,,follow up on Mitt Romney's statement about the 47 % of free lader's ,,I found it interesting that both of you agreed with him probably for different reason's --Bunny work's for his father in law who probably pay's him a fair wage and pay's the other worker's below minimum wage ,or ,I would guess work's illegal's and pay's them even less.and Rabbit he just think's Republican's with ther superior brain should make all the money and every one else are of no value .
all these irrespnsabe un-educated minimum wage people are just inferior to yu guy's.

Issue April 2012

Low-wage Workers Are Older and Better Educated than Ever

Relative to any of the most common benchmarks – the cost of living, the wages of the average worker, or average productivity levels – the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour is well below its historical value.1 These usual reference points, however, understate the true erosion in the minimum wage in recent decades because the average low-wage worker today is both older and much better educated than the average low-wage worker was in the past.

A minimum wage increase sounds good at first glance but I just don't know if it is what is needed. I mean these minimum wage jobs were once held mostly by high school and college age kids or retired folks who just wanted to get out. Now people are trying to support families on these wages and it won't work. However if you raise the legal wage you create more cost for the companies and that cost is in turn passed on to the consumer. I look around and see alot of people struggling but I just don't know what we can do to fix it. The answer is not as simple as raising wages. I agree that the government has done alot over the past 12 years that has hurt but at the same time it seems people today think they should have the life they want regardless. Instead of living within their means they buy everything on credit and hope they can pay it off some day. This just compounds the problem. My grandfather made a pretty good life for his family and left enough for my grandmother to live on after he passed. But when he was a kid he had nothing. He got what he had because he worked for it and while he had a nice house by the time he was thirty he started out small and added on as he got the money. Now a family of three thinks they need a four bedroom house with a payment of 1800 a month and can't figure out why they are so strapped for cash. People think they are entitled to "The Amrerican Dream" but the whole idea is supposed to be if you are willing to work for it you can make a good life for yourself in this country. I guess what I am saying is this. Yes it would be great if everyone could be paid $10.00 an hour or more. But that is just not possible. Think of a company like McDonalds. If their operating cost goes up are they gonna keep prices the same and cut the CEO's wages? NO. The added expense will be compensated for on the menu. It wouldn't hurt me as I don't eat at McDonalds very often at all. Maybe two or three times a year. But it is the same with any company.

Don't worry Dale. ;)
With a 2000 page affordable health care bill, 28,000 pages of new regulations, and a 65 page form to fill out before we get medical care, there are going to be a lot of gov't jobs available. Those jobs are well above minimum wage.
appears that there will be a big demand for folks who can read and write, required to fill out the applications for the recent graduates of liberal controlled public education.

City University Officials Find 80 Percent of New York High School Graduates Cannot Meet Basic Reading, Writing, and Math Skills
The City University community college system released a shocking statistic last week that roughly 80 percent of New York City high school graduates fall below proficient levels of reading, writing, and math and must take remedial courses before starting any classes.

It is the latest disclosure of our school system that shows how we are creating a lost generation of kids in a sub-standard educational system. It is a disgrace that the vast majority of kids going into the community college system would not have the most basic skills required of graduates. It shows how our schools are often churning out students and “making the numbers” — and failing our students.

Apparantly we need to borrow more money from China to increase the educaters salaries so as to get a better education.

FORWARD!

Your exactly right Dale, the american dream is oppertunity, blood, sweat and tears.

Newt you are so right, the majority doesn't realize what a mistake they have made re-electing this government dependent troll. Bankrupt the country, steal from the productive, steal from the unborn, kill the traditional family. Man I could go on but it just disgusts me.

The American dream was out right murdered by,you Republican's voting against it,

and Dale you are right minimum wage job's used to be mostly for student's and older folk's who just wanted to supplement their income ,but, the last few decades Republican's have killed so many job's and run the cost of living up by giving trillion's of tax dollar's to big oil companies and companies who wanted to send their factories over sea's ,like Romney just dd he sent one of his factories over sea's and forced the worker's there to train ther replacement's ,

now minimum wage job's are in the majority of job's and you are lucky to get one of them.

Republican's keep cutting education funding every year --But,there are million's of educated people out of work as well,,,,instead of posting lie's and half truth's and just crap -it would be much more worth while to e-mail your do nothing Republican congressman and tell them to stop the strike they are on and create some job's.

Newt you and Rabbit are both full of crap --->But I would not have it any other way -if every one agreed life would be boring.

NO Bluemouse, PMB's real problem is he just lies one time after the next. Typical liberal, leftist. Clinton is the one who opened the door for all our competitive edge to seep out of the country and whats worse is PMB knows this and yet continues to spew talking points. WHAT A JOKE YOU ARE PMB, YOUR ILK IS THE REASON THIS COUNTRY IS IN THE SHAPE ITS IN. You only have to look right in the mirror to find the problem.

Bill Clinton also sold the High Speed computers to China. Those are the computers that are enabling Korea to aim missliles at the west coast.
Bill Clinton also signed NAFTA
Balanced the Budget? Big Lie. Name the month that our deficit started to decline. I did not have sex with that woman. You knew I didn't mean it when I said I would cut taxes. Apparantly lying come natrual for you liberals.
Clintons jobs were the result of the Dot Com bubble.
